Welcome 2023 - 2024 Initiatives and Leadership classes!
Introduction:
The intent of this program is to provide students with a better understanding of the world, their place in the world and their responsibility to act as leaders within their local and global community. The classes work towards a service learning trip each spring. The focus is to encourage students to become active leaders who engage in their communities through thoughtful and meaningful activities and initiatives.
Global Initiatives and Leadership
The Global Initiatives and Leadership course is a project based learning course. Students will be encouraged to identify, develop and refine their own positive leadership styles through student led initiatives and activities that focus on bringing about positive change within their communities both locally and globally. Students work towards their trip by learning about the culture, language, and history of the destination that they travel to. Hands on practical skills will be included in this program such as house building, fundraising, language skills and leadership.

- Use self-knowledge to initiate and lead in a variety of different needs and situations at the community level.
